The road to Peters all began on a cloudy day in June 2022. Monique and Scott’s love for ice cream brought them both to Purple Door, an ice cream shop in Milwaukee. On that day they began talking and shared an ice cream flight while talking for hours. The conversation was so captivating, that they didn’t care that they were sitting outside and getting sprinkled on. From that point on, they began seeing each other every Wednesday for a dinner date. Before knowing his name, friends of Monique would recognize Scott as “Wednesday Guy.”

They began dating officially and their love for travel, especially together, was unlocked. They traveled to meet Monique’s parents for the first time on a surprise trip to Las Vegas, spent time in San Diego, CA, Austin, TX, Ensenada, Mexico, and New Orleans, LA. They decided that their next adventure would take them abroad to Italy. They spent 10 days together traveling throughout Italy. This is where Scott also popped the big question in front of the gorgeous Duomo in Milan, Italy. They decided that they wanted to share their love for travel with all their friends and family by having their wedding in Cancun, Mexico.
